Christmas recipes to make with children: Frozen Snowman

Now that we have our children at home during their vacations it is time to do Christmas recipes with kids like this fun ice cream snowman I'm going to show you. It goes without saying that if you want to have it as a memory it is better that you take a photo quickly because as they finish it they will want to eat it.

The recipe has no difficulty and also we will not stain anything, simply the plate or the glass where we are going to present it. I have preferred to use a wafer tulip so that the dish is also edible, but presented inside a glass is also very beautiful.

Ingredients for 4 snowmen

  • 500 ml of ice cream, vanilla or white chocolate, chocolate balls or caramel for the eyes, a tip of chilli nose, conguitos or lacasitos of chocolate for the buttons, and salty sticks for the arms

How to make an icy snowman with children

We take a few minutes before preparing the ice cream from the freezer so that the children can take the balls without problem. With the specific utensil or with two spoons helped by an adult, we form 4 larger and 4 smaller balls, with which we will make respectively the bodies and the heads.

We put the big ball in the bottom of the glass or in the tulip as you see in the photos and we put the chocolate conguitos buttons. On the big ball we put the arms of salty sticks. You can use any wand you have.

We place the small ball of ice cream on top of the large ball, we insert the eyes and the nose of dried chilli. (Remember that you have to remove it before eating). You can also use a chopped carrot piece if you prefer. With a spoon we make your mouth very big and smiling.

Finally we put the ice cream snowmen in the freezer until serving time, if the helpers allow us because they will be willing to take a bite of their new friend. We can convince them by telling them that snowmen want to be frozen for a little while.

Processing time | 20 minutes Difficulty | Very easy

Tasting

These snowman shaped ice cream children (and also their parents) love them. If the children have also participated by placing their eyes, arms or making ice cream balls, they will be willing to eat them.
