Clan presents four classic series for devices connected to the Internet on the 40th anniversary of BRB

Clan premieres on its digital screens the classic series 'David the Gnome', 'Willy Fog', 'D'Artacán' and 'Ruy, the little Cid', all co-produced by TVE. The new technologies allow these classic animation characters to be seen on the Clan website, in the application for phones and tablets, on televisions connected to the Internet and on the Clan tablet.

Thus Clan celebrate the BRB 40th anniversary and pays tribute to the series that we, the parents, saw at home as children. Of all the series that I liked the most was 'D'Artacán and the three musketeers', a cartoon series based on the play 'The Three Musketeers', by Alejandro Dumas. This series was seen by all the childhood of the time and I think we saw it on Saturdays before the news. D'artacan received numerous awards, including the Bronze Medal at the New York International Film and Television Festival in 1982; the TP Prize for the most popular children's series, in 1982; and the Honorable Mention in the Seventh Edition of the El Niño en Nuestro Tiempo Festival, Milan, also in 1982.

Another series that had many attractions was 'Around the world of Willy Fog', based on the work of Jules Verne, 'Around the world in 80 days'. It was first broadcast on TVE in 1983. Its protagonist, Willy Fog, is an English gentleman who accepts the challenge of going around the world in 80 days. He won the award for Best TV Program of the International Festival of Children and Youth of Gijón.

'David the Gnome' tells the adventures in the forest of the gnome David and his family, with an important educational background that brings children closer to topics such as ecology, friendship and justice. Based on the classic book by Rien Poortvliet and Wil Huygen, it is an unforgettable animated series. He received the Bronze Medal at the International Film and Television Festival in New York, 1985.

Y 'Ruy the little Cid' recounts the childhood of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, the Cid Campeador, who achieved great success in the 80s among children. It is the imaginary story of a true child, full of fun and entertaining adventures in which it has not been neglected to make known, habits, customs, ways of life, etc., of the Middle Ages. He won the special prize at the first Historical Film Festival of León, 1984.

We congratulate the Clan for the initiative to publish these classics. My daughter has already taught me that in the Clan application you can already find. Now we will have to convince the kids that these series had a lot of attractions and encourage them to watch them although I think it can be difficult. First because the times and the values that are transmitted have changed a lot and secondly because the kids are used to receiving impacts at high speed and in these series the language is very simple and the action is very slow.
