One of the children's characters and the singers with the most followers are allied for a good cause. The composer Shakira has just presented the children's book "Dora the explorer in the adventure of World School Day".
It is a children's story with which the artist begins in the world of letters, and in which she herself appears as a character, next to the girl Dora and her inseparable monkey Boots. In the story, the characters immerse themselves in the celebration of “World School Day” with students from all corners of the planet.
When some schools lack school supplies, it is time for Dora and Boots to make special deliveries. And the story is intended to show all children The importance of education: through knowledge and education one can embark on great adventures.
Shakira, normally interested in social issues, expresses her enthusiasm for the project:
Dora is an inspiration for all the children in the world, even for me. It was an honor to work with Nickelodeon to write this story because education is a cause very close to my heart. I want children from all over the world to know that through knowledge and education one can embark on great adventures!
A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the story will go to the Pies Descalzos Foundation of Shakira, a non-profit organization created in Colombia whose mission is to make education a universally accessible asset for all children.
Anyway, as we see fame is not at odds with solidarity, and we wish this new adventure of Dora and Shakira a lot of success in the children's story "Dora the explorer in the adventure of world school day". Although at the moment it cannot be acquired in Spain, we hope to have it soon.
