19 models of chains and clasps for pacifiers removed for risk to babies

It is not the first time that we have to talk about the prohibition of everyday baby items such as pacifier accessories. Health has ordered the Removal of 19 models of chains and clasps for pacifiers by risk for babies for not complying with European safety regulations.

It is unfortunate that the controls do not stop these irregularities before arriving at the stores. So far this year, almost twenty chains and pacifier clips have been removed due to the risk of suffocation, entrapment and various injuries.

The defect is that the chains and the snap hooks break very easily (in fact if we force a little we do not have any piece in the hand), being able to detach small pieces that the baby could swallow and sharp edges with which it could be done hurt.

Other frequent irregularities are the silver coating that some chains and brooches have, which easily detaches, the holes in the chains that are too large where children's fingers can be trapped and ventilation holes in the pins that are not suitable.

The surprising thing is that among the prohibited items there are recognized brands such as Disney or Hello Kitty.

We'll see now brands that have been recalled and the risks that have been detected in each of its products:

1) Brand Goochicoo, reference 498473, lot 127Y, due to the risk of suffocation, since the fixative to the clothes breaks easily, generating small parts.

Consume alert parents who have purchased any of these items that must return and demand the return of money.

The downside is that it is more than likely that some parents do not know the brand of the pacifier chain that they have bought from the baby (and more likely that they have thrown away the wrapper), so the recommendation would be that they become consumer researchers and check for yourself the defects of which we have spoken.
