Join the children at Earth Hour

Tomorrow March 27, between 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm Earth Hour is celebrated. Everyone is invited to join this initiative for climate change, so from Babies and more we invite parents to join the children at Earth Hour.

In the context of this global proposal promoted by WWF, it is intended to involve children to become aware of the importance of caring for the planet from an early age.

As we should turn off the house lights for an hour, and we know that with children it is not easy to be in the dark, we propose some activities you can do with them to have a fun time while collaborating against global warming.

If you stay at home you can organize games in the dark. Children will love the idea. You can play hide and seek in the dark with the help of small flashlights (sometimes we play at home and the girls have a great time).

You can also set up a tent and simulate that you are camping in the jungle or in the mountains. You can read stories or play games inside the store lit by a battery-powered lamp. If you dare and leave everything ready before the blackout, you can improvise a candlelight dinner, always placing them high just in case.

If you want to celebrate it away from home, the organization of Earth Hour proposes activities to do with children in the main Spanish cities. In Madrid, for example, there will be activities and games for the little ones throughout the afternoon, and an exhibition of skating in the Retiro Park. On the official website you can check the calendar of events in your city.

Fighting climate change is everyone's business, also for the little ones. In addition, it can become a very fun Saturday plan, so we propose to turn off the light and join the children at Earth Hour.
