Paternity tests to do at home

A few days ago it came to light that one in four paternity tests is negative, that is to say in 25% of cases the father is right to doubt that the son who thinks he is his is not his.

More and more men come to this type of tests to check the relationship with their supposed children. The reasons: infidelities, pay in the case of divorces and, above all, distrust of the couple.

To make things easier for parents, some laboratories allow you to perform home paternity tests.

Our Companion Buyers announce us of Rite Aid Identigene Paternity Test that begins to be sold freely in some pharmacies in the United States, in addition to offering the option to buy it online and do it from home.

But it is not the only laboratory that performs paternity tests in that country, nor does it have to go so far. In Spain there are several laboratories such as Biopaternity, Biozell or Labgenetics that use the same procedure.

They send a kit for free to your home with the necessary elements to take a sample of mucosa with a buccal swab (yes, as we see in CSI). A sample of the supposed father and another of the son are needed.

Following the instructions, they are stored in an envelope and sent by mail to the laboratory where the DNA sequences are analyzed to check or discard the relationship. The results are sent by ordinary mail, via email or through the Internet which can be accessed with a personal password.

The prices are around 225 euros depending on the laboratory, the people involved in the test (father and son, father, mother and son, father and two children) and the urgency of the procedure.

Do not believe that men are the only ones who buy this type of test. Many women need to ensure the paternity of their child and go to all kinds of tricks to do so, since in addition to the oral mucosa, paternity tests can also be performed through other tissues such as hair or blood.
