Children's television programming during Holy Week with respect to the schedule

The Spectator Forum has asked various television networks to respect the schedule of children's programming during the Easter holidays, this association formed by the Spanish Federation of Large Families, the Association of Housewives, Consumers and users of Madrid and various other partners, thus conveys the desire of all those parents who belong to this association and those who do not.

The concern has been generated as a result of the programs that are broadcast during the time of the table and in the afternoon, programs that do not provide any moral value or interest for children, in short, too much "telebasura". If these days are special for the little ones, the different televisions should take it into account and modify, as far as possible, the content of these programs or their broadcast.

Surely we have all been able to verify how in these television spaces insults, lies, bad education, etc., are accepted. The protagonists of the reallity show have no moral shame in insulting and using obscene languages during a time slot in which many children can find themselves in front of the television. What do these programs offer? Nothing at all, on the contrary, teach them values that affect good educational development. The legal schedule of protection for children is established from 6 in the morning until 10 at night, but there is the so-called reinforced protection time slot that should be used in the hours most likely for a child to face television. There are two these time slots, from 8 to 9 in the morning and from 5 to 8 in the afternoon.

We can all verify that this second time slot is not fulfilled in the least, nor is children's programming on public televisions respected, nor is it respected that the programs that are broadcast take care of their behavior.

It is the right time for the "telebasura" to rest and can give way, at least for a few days, to a decent, educational, entertaining and fun children's programming. They will have time to reissue and air the banal problems whose protagonists are not worth talking about.
